TOTTENHAM fans are eagerly awaiting the completing of their brand-spanking new stadium.

Plans for the new ground are well underway, with Spurs releasing swanky pictures and videos showing an array of top-of-the range corporate areas.

When will Tottenham’s new stadium be finished?

Tottenham’s new stadium is set to be to be opened for the beginning of the 2018-19 season.

In January 2017, Spurs released a video showing how the stadium will look on a match day.

A virtual reality tour also gave fans an opportunity to experience the ground, including its state-of-the-art facilities, before its official unveiling.

Spurs play their final ever game at White Hart Lane on May 14 against Manchester United, as they will play all of their home games at Wembley Stadium next season.

Some Spurs supporters have been calling it the ‘New White Hart Lane’ during its construction period.

How big will Tottenham’s new stadium be?

Tottenham’s new stadium will seat 61,000.

It was initially designed to hold 56,250 people, but was redeveloped to increase capacity.

White Hart Lane currently seats just over 32,000 spectators.

The new ground will become the third largest capacity stadium in the country, ahead of Arsenal but behind Old Trafford and Wembley.

Why are Tottenham building a new stadium?

Spurs are building a new stadium in order to increase their maximum capacity.

The larger stadium will be able to generate more revenue and help the club grow financially.

By building a new ground, Spurs also hope to regenerate the entire Tottenham area and enhance its local economy.

The new stadium has a 60,000-long season ticket waiting list.

How much will the new stadium cost?

Spurs believe their new ground could eventually cost them £750million.

The club made the forecast in their planning application, which would make it the most expensive stadium in the country alongside Wembley.

It was previously thought the new stadium would cost £400m but that figure has risen drastically.
