AC Milan reject £1.7m bid from Manchester City for 16-year-old goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari
AC MILAN have rejected Manchester City's £1.7million bid for teenage goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari out of hand.
The 16-year-old, known as 'the other Donnarumma' is the latest wonder-keeper to come through the Rossoneri ranks.
And Milan's production line has not been ignored by City, who are determined to snap up the world's best young talent and then farm them through their gleaming academy.

But their bid for Plizzari has been knocked back, with Italian sports paper claiming that City's scouts spotted the 16-year-old.
The paper claim that Plizzari is a massive AC Milan fan and would be reluctant to leave - but with Gianluigi Donnarumma ahead in the pecking order and only a year older, it is unlikely that Plizzari would be entitled to a starting berth at the club for potentially the next decade and more.
Gazzetta state that "no scenario can be ruled out" but for the time being, with the feeling Plizzari's young development may be best served at the Serie A giants for the time being.

AC Milan are currently fifth in the Serie A table, with nine points separating them from leaders Juventus, who are on 42 points.
City have a long-term goalkeeping issue of their own, with Joe Hart being loaned out to Torino after being dropped by new boss Pep Guardiola.
The club are clearly looking to the future but it seems they will have to up the stakes if they want Plizzari.
