Organisers are weighing plans to get the CSL decided on goals netted by the country's emerging talent.

That is despite the rising division spending millions on foreign talent - most notably Carlos Tevez, Oscar and Alex Teixeira.

The hair-brained idea is inspired by the Chinese FA, who are desperate to get more emerging Chinese players through the ranks.

It could lead to clubs who have paid millions for the top international talent being forced to play local stars up front in the final league game.

But it is also an added incentive for Chinse Super League clubs not to simply haul in dozens of foreign players in a bid to win the title.

The Far East nation have become obsessed with climbing the international footballing ladder since they began investing heavily in the game.

Communist China had previous had a track record of success in Olympic sports, particularly table tennis and diving.

But in Rio they slipped behind Great Britain in the gold medal standings, having previously run the United States close.
