Performances of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones appeared to kill off move, but deal for Swedish international could happen
BENFICA are convinced Victor Lindelof WILL join Manchester United, according to reports in Portugal.
It appeared the deal was dead as the recent impressive performances of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo had convinced Jose Mourinho he didn’t need to sign a new central defender in January.
However, , claim the Portuguese champions are still expecting to lose the 22-year-old and there should be advancements this week.

Benfica have no indications that United have given up in their pursuit of the Swedish international.
Jones and Rojo are one of a number of different centre-back pairings Mourinho has tried since replacing Louis van Gaal in the Old Trafford hotseat in the summer.
Initially, Eric Bailly and Daley Blind were the established duo, before Chris Smalling came into contention and eventually replaced the Dutch utility man.
However, injuries and a lack of form saw the trio in and out of the team.
