MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea target James Rodriguez ‘can play anywhere’, according to super-agent Jorge Mendes.
The Colombian has been strongly linked with a Premier League move next month after falling out favour at Real Madrid.
Versatile Rodriguez continues to be overlooked in favour of industrious players such as Casemiro and Lucas Vazquez in Zinedine Zidane’s 4-3-3.
And the 25-year-old could now be heading to England, with United and Chelsea both prepared to splash the cash in January.
Real have already made it clear they have no intention of selling Rodriguez until the summer, with the club unable to sign a replacement in the next transfer window.
But Mendes insists his client is keeping his options open ahead of potential offers, adding that Rodriguez has nothing to prove despite looking to "convince" Zidane of his talents.
The negotiator said: “He’s a top player. He can play anywhere. He doesn’t have to prove anything.

United and Chelsea may have to move quickly to secure Rodriguez though, with Juventus also thought to be interested.
