WESLEY SNEIJDER hailed Louis van Gaal as the best coach in the world — but insists the pair did not see eye-to-eye.

It is a huge statement from the Galatasaray midfielder, who enjoyed immense success working under Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.

Together, they beat Van Gaal‘s Bayern Munich in the 2010 Champions League final.

Sneijder started his career at Ajax in 2002, with his fellow countryman arriving as technical director two years later.

Then they were reunited in 2012 when the former Barcelona, Bayern — and future Manchester United — manager was named Holland boss.

And, while Sneijder, 32, believes LVG is a fantastic manager, he admits there is much to be desired from his interpersonal skills.

He told : “I have always said that Van Gaal is the best coach there is, technically and tactically.

“There is no better coach than Van Gaal.

“But I think there is room for improvement when you look at the way he deals with his players and staff.

“I had a perfect time with him on the pitch, as a coach, because his training sessions were the most fun.

“But as a human being, I have had nothing but trouble with him on a personal level.”

Sneijder won the Dutch title with Van Gaal as technical director at Ajax in 2004 — and the pair impressively finished third at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.

As well as Mourinho, other notable managers the playmaker has worked under include Ronald Koeman, Rafa Benitez, Claudio Ranieri, Guus Hiddink and Roberto Mancini.
