The 26-year-old is yet to feature for Arsene Wenger’s side since but he could now be in line for a sensational return in January.

It’s believed Welbeck will not be rushed back for the New Year’s Day clash against Crystal Palace, with the FA Cup third round clash against Preston a week later a possibility.
