Danny Welbeck: Arsenal star pictured training after injury return but will he face Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day?
Gunners striker has been out of action for last nine months with knee injury and is sure to be back in the side next month
DANNY WELBECK has been pictured training for the first time in nine months after bouncing back from a serious knee injury.
The Arsenal star has been plagued by problems following his move from Manchester United in 2014 and missed seven months of action last season.
Welbeck eventually returned to full fitness and looked to be back in the swing of things before picking up another injury last May.
The 26-year-old is yet to feature for Arsene Wenger’s side since but he could now be in line for a sensational return in January.
It’s believed Welbeck will not be rushed back for the New Year’s Day clash against Crystal Palace, with the FA Cup third round clash against Preston a week later a possibility.
Also snapped training was Aaron Ramsey, who made his comeback from a hamstring injury with a late appearance in the Boxing Day win over West Brom.
The Welshman is fit and available to start against Palace as is Nacho Monreal, who also clocked up some much-needed minutes against the Baggies.
