AS Roma set to swoop for young Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda in short term loan deal

CHELSEA youngster Charly Musonda could be on his way to Italy in a short term loan deal with Serie A club AS Roma.
The 20-year old Belgian midfielder is thought to be considered an ideal replacement for former Blues' teammate Mohamed Salah who will leave for the African Cup of Nations in January.
According to , the Italian club are keen to secure Musonda's services in time for Salah's departure with Egypt.
Musonda returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this month after his loan spell with Real Betis was cut short through a knee injury but has since been training with Antonio Conte's first team.
The Belgian U21 international made just one start in eight appearances under Gus Poyet in La Liga despite making an instant impact in Spain during the second half of last season.
Musonda is yet to make his first-team debut at Chelsea.
