Everton transfer news: Ronald Koeman poised to bid for Manchester United outcasts Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in January transfer window
Jose Mourinho admitted he would not stand in the way of French international Schneiderlin's way if he wanted to leave Old Trafford for West Brom
EVERTON are ready to save Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay from their Manchester United hell.
Jose Mourinho admitted he would not stand in the way of French international Schneiderlin's way if he wanted to leave Old Trafford for West Brom.
The Baggies have already made a £18million bid for the former Southampton star but the Toffee's are favourite to land the midfielder.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is expected to pump more money into the squad and are now favourites to land Schneiderlin.
When asked about Schneiderlin, Mourinho said: “Yes. Great professional, fantastic boy, very honest, very open and opens his heart a couple of times.
"My answer is simple: if he's playing regular with me I have the right to say no way.
"If he's not playing regular I have no right to tell a player that wants to be happy – to say to a player you're going nowhere.
"My answer was, ‘If the offer is right and our board thinks that the offer is a good offer in relation to the quality of a very good player like Morgan, I would not stop him to go’."
Depay is also on the Toffees wishlist and believe they can nab the midfielder as Mourinho is open to him leaving Old Trafford.
