Juve are known to be scouring Europe for the best players available and have already spent £76m on Gonzalo Higuain after the Argentine finished as Serie A’s top scorer with Napoli last season.

But newspaper claims Max Allegri is desperate to land Kroos as he hunts an Andrea Pirlo-esque player to dictate the tempo from deep.

However, Juve will have to spend big after the playmaker’s Real release clause rose to an astonishing £255m.

AS adds that Kroos’ market value stands around the £50m mark, meaning Juve are prepared to offer an extra £25m to stand a chance of securing his signature.

It could yet be a busy month of transfers for Juventus in January, with the Italians hoping to wrap up a deal for highly-rated Atalanta ace Franck Kessie.

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez also remains a target but there will be no chance of signing Thiago Silva after he extend his Paris Saint-Germain contract, making Leonardo Bonucci’s recent renewal even more important.
