Grealish was initially goaded by a section fans seated near the corner flag, who chanted: "You're just a s*** Joey Essex."
The taunt was a reference to The Only Way Is Essex’s former cast member, who has has appeared on various TV shows since TOWIE and has over 1.5million Instagram followers.
But Grealish saw the funny side and appeared to be grinning as he stopped to stretch, while trying to ignore the home supporters.
Hoops fan Colin Clarke posted the video with the caption: "Haha. Didn't nibble though."
But Clarke kept probing, with a second video finally getting a rise from Grealish when he chanted: "Joey, Joey give us a wave."
Grealish acknowledged, shortly before the fan waved goodbye to his hopes of QPR's woeful run ending.
Fans needed to provide their own amusement, with their team proving to be nothing but cannon fodder in recent weeks.
