Everton 0 Liverpool 1: Watch match hightlights as Sadio Mane nets dramatic late winner in fourth minute of injury time as Reds come out on top in Merseyside derby
After a first-half featuring no shots on target, the game was decided in stoppage cutting Chelsea's lead to six points
SADIO MANE netted a dramatic late winner as Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool closed the gap on leaders Chelsea after a feisty Merseyside derby.
After a nervy first-half which didn't feature a single shot on target, the game spluttered somewhat into life in the second period as Roberto Firmino had two good chances to earn Jurgen Klopp's side a valuable three points.
But it was a scrappy spectacle and the match never lived up to it's billing - until the fourth minute of stoppage time when Mane stunned Goodison.
Everton started a blistering tempo but couldn't fashion any clear cut opportunities, whilst the Reds were forced to shoot wildly from distance.
Origi blasted over shortly before the break in a good position but Everton had the best chance of the half when Ramiro Funes Mori - in for the suspended Phil Jagielka - headed wide from a corner.
Gareth Barry came on for James McCarthy at half time, but it was Liverpool who should've been ahead - Firmino was released over the top and somehow fluffed his lines from 5 yards.
The Brazilian was then wonderfully denied by sub keeper Joel Robles - on for the injured Stekelenburg - before Klopp threw on Daniel Sturridge as a last throw of the dice.
But despite tempers flaring after an incident involving Ross Barkley and Jordan Henderson - which arguably should've resulted in a red card for the Toffees man - the game looked to be petering out into a draw.
That was until the fourth minute of stoppage time, where Mane pounced on Sturridge's shot that came off the post and tapped home to send the away end into bedlam.
