HE'S ZLAT GOOD

Manchester United would be TEN points worse off in the Premier League table if it wasnt for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goals

The Old Trafford star has 13 goals already in a prolific season - and has been a revelation for Mourinho's side

MANCHESTER UNITED may have got the bargain of the season when they picked up Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free from PSG in the summer.

The Swede star, 34, was chastised by many as being past his sell by date when he arrived at Old Trafford during the close season.

But his superb performances since have seen the lanky striker net 16 goals in 25 appearances - including eight in the last seven games.

And without his contribution, United could theoretically be TEN points worse off.

Zlatan's 11 league goals have earned Jose Mourinho’s side points in games against West Brom, Southampton, Swansea, West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace.

Only one player has single-handedly won his team more points this season - Chelsea's Diego Costa.

United find themselves thirteen points behind the Blues who are galloping away with the League following an incredible run of 11 straight wins.

But without Zlatan's goals, United would be sat 12th in the table between Watford and West Ham.

Mourinho's side have only lost one of their last ten in the league, but have drawn half of those games.

They face Sunderland on Boxing Day hoping to record a third straight victory.
