ARSENAL are set for more treatment table woes as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was substituted just 12 minutes after replacing Alex Iwobi at Man City.

The club tweeted after the match to confirm that the winger has a muscle injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain held his head in his hands and threw his shirt off in fury after seemingly becoming the latest victim of the type of injury crisis that always seems to affect Arsenal at this time of year.

Santi Cazorla is already ruled out for two months, while Shkodran Mustafi will miss the festive programme of fixtures with a hamstring injury.

But on the positive side, Aaron Ramsey is expected to return for the match against West Brom on Boxing Day and Danny Welbeck is back in training.

Arsenal are in desperate need of a win against the Baggies after disappointingly slumping to a 2-1 loss at the Etihad.

The Gunners seemed to be in control of the game when they went in 1-0 up at half time.

But they came out after the break and produced one of their worst halves of football this season.

Leroy Sane was controversially ruled onside as he slotted home City's equaliser in the 46th minute.

And Raheem Sterling fired in a winner in the 71st minute which Petr Cech really should have dealt with.

Arsenal are now 9 points off the pace of leaders Chelsea and face the grim prospect of having to focus more on finishing in the top four than chasing the title.
