ATLETICO MADRID are looking to land Chelsea back-up goalie Eduardo next month, according to reports.
The Portuguese keeper is yet to make an appearance for Antonio Conte’s side this season after joining from Dinamo Zagreb on a one-year deal last summer.
Eduardo is unlikely to get any games soon, with Thibaut Courtois dominating between the sticks and Asmir Begovic currently on the bench.
But the 34-year-old is allegedly set to be offered a fresh start in Spain by Atletico, who have lost first-choice Jan Oblak to a shoulder injury for four months.
The highly-rated star has just undergone successful surgery and could return before the end of the season.
But in the meantime, Atletico are short on options and apparently want Eduardo to help them out until Oblak returns.
claims Diego Simeone has already been in contact with Stamford Bridge chiefs over a short-term deal.
