Former Premier League trio are all earning a small fortune playing across the Channel, but none take the top spot
FRENCH newspaper L’Equipe has sensationally revealed the wages of a host of Ligue 1 stars… And there are FOUR former Premier League players in the top ten.
First and foremost, the expose reveals the staggering amount of money Paris Saint-Germain are willing to part with in order to win the title.
Seven of the top ten come from the French capital, including the top six… But which star earns the most across the Channel?

That honour goes to PSG defender Thiago Silva, who earns close to £1million per month – at £920,000.
Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria is the second-highest paid footballer in France, raking in over £750,000 per month, ahead of Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani and Thiago Motta on £671,000.
Two more PSG players round out the top six, with Javier Pastore (£646,410) and Blaise Matuidi (£629,620) before Manchester United and Chelsea reject Radamel Falcao joins the list in seventh on £503,700.
Marco Verratti, also of Paris Saint-Germain comes in eighth on £419,750, before two more former Premier League strikers make the list.
Former Manchester City and Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli – now with surprise Ligue 1-leaders Nice – is ninth, taking home £377,770.
Rounding off the top ten is Swansea’s on-loan forward Bafetimbi Gomis, raking in £352,590 per month across the Channel.
