Roberto Mancini in line to replace Unai Emery as Paris Saint-Germain continue to struggle in Ligue 1

Italian has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in August but is searching for a route back into management

ROBERTO MANCINI could be on his way back into management with French giants Paris-Saint Germain.

Current boss Unai Emery is under increasing pressure with his side third in the league, four points off leaders Nice.

The Ligue 1 champions haven't won in their last three matches including a 3-0 defeat against Montpellier followed by a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Ludogorets in the Champions League.

And supporters are starting to lose patience with the former Sevilla boss with reports suggesting another defeat against Guincamp on Saturday could put an end to his brief spell in charge.

PSG players also boycotted the media after their 2-2 draw against Nice in their last outing because of the negative coverage their team has been getting in recent weeks.

Ex-Manchester City boss Mancini was linked to PSG in May before Emery took charge.

The 52-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Inter Milan last August but has been linked with a number of jobs including England, Crystal Palace and Marseille.

According to French publication Le Parisien, he is the only high profile boss who would be able to take over at short notice.

Mancini's Champions League experience could also prove a boost for the PSG hierarchy after they were handed an unfavourable draw against Barcelona.

Elsewhere Mancini's former club Manchester City will play Monaco whilst Arsenal were handed yet another tie to Bayern Munich.
