Arsenal draw Bayern Munich in Champions League knockout stages and Gunners fans are in meltdown

Gunners were hoping to avoid an elite side after topping Group A ahead of Paris Saint-Germain

ARSENAL fans cannot believe luck after drawing Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger will have hoped to avoid one of the favourites to win the competition after finishing as Group-A leaders ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

Bayern have sent the Gunners out of the prestige competition on three occasions in 2005, 2013 and 2014.

This miserable record against Carlo Ancelotti's side has Arsenal fans fearing that they may crash out at the last 16 stage for the seventh season in a row.

Last year under Pep Guardiola, Bayern suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates before progressing to the next round after they thrashed Arsenal 5-1 at the Allianz Arena.

Their haunting history against the Bundesliga giants has had some fans furious with the fact they have drawn them again.
