Alvaro Morata: Real Madrid star proposes to model girlfriend at magic show after she joined him in Spain last summer

THIS is the touching moment Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata proposes to his model girlfriend after being called on stage during a magic show.

The Spanish international went down on bended knee as magician Antonio Diaz turned Italian beauty Alice Campello away from the footballer and pretended he was going to perform a trick on her.

Onlookers at the packed Rialto theatre in the Spanish capital applauded the touching moment on Friday night before recording it on their mobile phones.

Venice-born Alice, 21, who moved to Madrid with Morata this summer when he left Juventus after being bought back by the Spanish giants, immediately said ‘yes.’

Today the 24-year-old footballer, who was linked with Man United and Arsenal before sealing his move to Spain, posted a picture of the engagement ring on his fiance’s finger on Instagram alongside the message: “She’s said ‘yes.’ We’re getting married. I love you.”

The pretty blonde posted a similar picture on her social media site.

The magician who paved the way for the proposal, known as the Mago Pop, told the couple after getting them on stage: “This is a game I’ve been working on for a long time and that I’m really excited about and you’re never going to forget” before taking Alice by the hand and saying: “I want you to think of a card, any card.”

He turned her round so she was facing away from her star boyfriend before adding: “They’re now going to perform the best trick on you that you’ve ever seen in your life. Look.”

As he swivelled her round Morata, dressed in jeans and trainers, took the engagement ring out of its box and went down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage.

The magician, an illusionist who has starred on the Discovery Channel and entertained the likes of Barcelona star Neymar and actor Antonio Banderas with his magic, raised his arms to celebrate as Alice said ‘yes’ and gave her partner a hug and a passionate kiss.

Fans congratulated the couple on social media. One said: “I was left speechless. It really moved me.”

Morata’s future wife stole the show when Real Madrid bought him back from Juventus this summer for £24 million.

Despite having played for Real Madrid before, the club still decided to treat the player to a grand unveiling.

He shed tears during his speech and Alice broke protocol by giving him a passionate kiss in front of the cameras.

The couple, who met while Morata was playing in Italy, were pictured taking a break in Ibiza after Spain’s Euro 2016 woes.
