A YOUNG Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang promised his grandfather he’d end up playing for Real Madrid.
That’s according to the Borussia Dortmund star’s mum, who insists he will always pick Los Blancos over Barcelona.
Aubameyang was heavily linked with a move to Real during the summer before Zinedine Zidane pounced to re-sign Alvaro Morata instead.

The Gabon international scored an incredible 39 times in all competitions last season and has carried his fine form into the new campaign with 15 goals in just 12 Bundesliga appearances.
Real are now said to be monitoring his progress as doubts linger over Karim Benzema, and Aubameyang added fuel to the flames by admitting his future in Germany remains unclear.
Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel already appears to have given his blessing for a mega-money switch, although Aubameyang could yet sign a new contract out of loyalty to the fans.
However, his mum is convinced a move to the Santiago Bernabeu is on the cards, revealing that Aubameyang always talked about Real as a child and promised his grandfather he’d wear the famous all-white strip one day.

Speaking ahead of tonight's Champions League clash between Real and Dortmund, Margarita Crespo told : “He promised his grandfather that he would play for Real Madrid and since he was a little boy he spoke about Madrid and never about Barcelona.
“My family have always been Real Madrid and I would like to see him in white. A move to Madrid would be lovely but at the moment he is doing well at Dortmund and we will have to see what happens.

Speaking about Real’s interest in his key striker, manager Tuchel added: “Aubameyang is a great player. He makes the side better, he makes me better and we can’t achieve our objectives without him.
“He’s a quality player. All players would love to play in the best sides in the world, and one of those clubs is Real Madrid.
“It’s always a pressure to play at the Santiago Bernabeu and he likes pressure and it often brings the best out of him.”
