Wales striker admits he would have chosen to join West Brom anyway to play in the Premier League
HAL ROBSON-KANU has revealed he would have joined West Brom even if Atletico Madrid wanted him this summer.
The Wales striker, 27, was released by Reading before his involvement in Euro 2016.
Robson-Kanu's stock soared after he helped the Dragons reach the semi-finals, scoring a goal against Belgium in the last-eight which saw him nominated for the Puskas Award.

Robson-Kanu, who joined West Brom on a three-year deal on deadline day, said: "There were quite a lot of negotiations that took place and there were a number of opportunities for me abroad in Spain, Asia, Russia and America.
"But I had told my agent that I would love to play in the Premier League, so a lot of the interest from other countries got pushed aside. I had a desire to play in the top league in the world.”
Atletico are one of many clubs believed to have been interested in Robson-Kanu.
And Robson-Kanu admits he would not have even known if boss Diego Simeone had come calling - because he had his phone switched off!
Speaking to , he added: "I had my phone turned off because it was going mad – I was getting calls left, right and centre – so even if he had called me, I’d have missed it!”
“Atletico are a massive football club, but my ambition was to play in the Premier League.”
Robson-Kanu has made eight appearances for Tony Pulis' West Brom this season without scoring.
