Chelsea boss Antonio Conte shows he’s still got it as he flaunts his skills at training
Former Juventus midfielder reminds his table toppers who is the Blues boss in cheeky fashion
ANTONIO CONTE is providing all sorts of inspiration to his Premier League table toppers.
The Italian head coach has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal within his Chelsea squad – but he still likes to show them a trick or tow of his own.
Eden Hazard is back to his best under the 47-year-old. The Blues attacker is very much the conductor to the Stamford Bridge orchestra this season after such a disappointing campaign last time out.
The Belgian has scored 11 goals so far this season to help propel the Blues to the summit.
The silky skills of David Luiz are also paying dividends in the new-look three man defence. Once mocked for his defensive capabilities, the Brazilian has been a breath of fresh air since returning to the club back in August.
His ball-playing abilities could almost see him slot in anywhere into the Chelsea side.
And then there is Diego Costa. The striker just cannot stop scoring this season under Conte.
He grabbed his 14th goal for club and country as the Blues swept aside title rivals Manchester City on Saturday to record a 3-1 win at the Etihad.
The talent within the squad does not end there. With playmakers such as Pedro, Willian, Oscar and Spaniard Cesc Fabregas, who returned to the side against the Citizens, the attacking and showboating depth to the squad would rival almost anyone.
But it seems that the creative spark is not only restricted to the playing squad in west London – the coaching staff also appear to like to get in on the act.
Judging by this video posted on Instagram, Conte is a man that likes to lead from the front.
The former Juventus midfielder, who hung up his boots in 2004, enjoyed a fine career with the Serie A giants.
Playing alongside greats such as Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps and Edgar Davids, Conte won five titles and the Champions League during his time in Turin.
Not quite as silky as his midfield partners, Conte was renowned for his doggedness, but you would never have guessed that by this clip from Chelsea’s Instagram account.
Receiving a ball from Costa, the boss produces spins the floated pass into a Cruyff turn on the bounce.
If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
And the cheeky gaffer is only too happy to remind his men that he still has a cheeky trick or two up his sleeve.
