GARY CAHILL slammed Sergio Aguero for the “crazy” tackle which sparked a brawl in Chelsea 3-1 win over Manchester City.

Both clubs face charges of failing to control their players today and Cesc Fabregas could be banned if ref Anthony Taylor says he did not see the Spaniard slapping Fernandinho.

Cahill said: “It was a crazy tackle. Maybe it was a bit of frustration. It was out of character for him but it’s disappointing to see that.”

Defender Cahill, 30, added: “They’d had a battle, him and David and sometimes a bit of frustration spills over.”

City were frustrated at letting a 1-0 lead slip and also at some of ref Taylor’s decisions.

FA chiefs expect his report to arrive at Wembley today and they will then decide on what further punishments to dish out.

City boss Pep Guardiola apologised for the stoppage time incident — which also saw Fernandinho sent off for  shoving Fabregas over the advertising boards.

But it may not be enough to save the clubs from heavy fines as players waded in.

Chelsea were fined a whopping £375,000 fine only last May after a FIFTH rap for failing to control their players.

Tottenham also had to pay out £225,000 for their part in bust-ups during the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Aguero, 28, gets a four-match suspension after the City striker’s second red card of the season — ruling him out of Premier League games against Watford, Arsenal, Hull and Liverpool.

Fernandinho’s three-game suspension means he could return for the crunch clash at Anfield on New Year’s Eve.

Aguero also took a kicking from Luiz’s mum via social media.

Regina Celia Marinho’s mocked his apparent shock at being sent off with an Instagram message saying: “I don’t understand the scared face when he took the red card! Poor baby didn’t do anything!”
