XABI ALONSO has been celebrating his birthday in style after reaching the grand old age of 35.
The Bayern Munich star continues to defy the years with his terrific performances.
And Alonso took to Twitter to celebrate his latest landmark, posting a selfie as he enjoyed a drink while overlooking a lake under the shadows of the Bavarian mountainside.

Alonso wrote: “Thank you all for your happy birthday wishes!! You are great.”
The Spaniard has enjoyed a great club career, making a name for himself in the Premier League with Liverpool.
Alonso won the Champions League during his first season at Anfield and led the Reds to the FA Cup the year after.
He also won Europe’s elite competition – as well as La Liga – during a six-year spell at Real Madrid, and many close friends have paid tribute to his years of service.
