FORMER Chelsea managers Roberto Di Matteo and Avram Grant are battling it out to take charge at second division German club 1860 Munich.
The Bundesliga 2 side are on the hunt for a new gaffer after sacking Kosta Runjaic for his dismal start to the campaign.
1860 are just one point above the relegation zone after 13 matches and now want an experienced boss to lead them to the top flight.

reports that Di Matteo is the frontrunner to land the job after being axed by Aston Villa earlier this season.
Despite winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2012, the Italian has struggled in the dugout.
Di Matteo was fired by the Blues later that year and last just eight months at Schalke.
He managed just one win in 12 games during his brief spell at Villa Park and must now see off competition from Chelsea predecessor Grant in order to get his managerial career back off the ground.
