Vincent Kompany misses training as Manchester City prepare for Champions League clash in Germany
VINCENT KOMPANY was no where to be seen in training this morning as Manchester City get ready to continue their quest for Uefa Champions League glory against Monchengladbach.
The City skipper went off injured with concussion at Crystal Palace on Saturday and will add to Pep Guardiola's defensive woes as it's revealed he will be unavailable for the clash in Germany on Wednesday.
Kompany, who's recent career has been dogged with injuries, collided with goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and has been under observation by the club's medical team since the incident.
City can qualify from Group C with a win over Gladbach tomorrow night after recording a famous 3-1 victory over Barcelona at the Etihad earlier this month.
Guardiola will also be without midfielder Yaya Toure this week, who scored twice on his return on Saturday, but was remarkably left out of City’s Champions League squad back in September.
