STEVEN GERRARD is set to turn down the offer of becoming MK Dons boss.
Liverpool legend Gerro, 36, met the League One club for talks over the last few days and he did give the job serious consideration.
But sources close to Gerrard insist he is unlikely to make that his first managerial role as the timing is not right.

He knows there is a position waiting for him at Anfield when the time is right.

But the Reds’ hectic schedule means that is not likely to be discussed in detail until after Christmas.
Gerrard will also be in huge demand as a pundit.
Despite that interest from TV companies, he is said to prefer a job more directly involved in the game.
