MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to rival neighbours Man City for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
And Jose Mourinho hopes to tempt the Austrian to pick Old Trafford by also bringing in international team-mate Julian Baumgartlinger.

Baumgartlinger only joined Bayer Leverkusen from Mainz in the summer in a £3.5m move.
But the promise of a quick profit on the 29-year-old means the Bundesliga side will be willing to do business.
