Jose Mourinho wants a new striker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract up at the end of the season and the claim Kane is being lined up.

United have targeted the highly-rated hitman in the past and may look to unsettle him with their financial clout.

But Tottenham are in no rush to sell as Kane is under contract until 2020, with Levy having a well-deserved reputation for being a tough negotiator.

Kane has struggled with injury this season but scored a crucial penalty to earn a 1-1 draw with rivals Arsenal.
