MANCHESTER CITY are eying Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo - but could be put off by a whopping £38.5million price tag.
Pep Guardiola is keen to shore up the left side of the defence after being less-than convinced Aleksandar Kolarov or Gael Clichy are the long-term solutions.
And the 21-year-old has been identified as the man who could fill that berth.

He has impressed in Portugal since being snapped up from Barcelona for just £1.3million, with Guardiola knowing all about the defender from his time managing at the Nou Camp.

And Barcelona will bee keeping a keen on eye on any developments with Grimaldo, as they negotiated a sell-on fee back in December 2015.
He is yet to be capped at full international level, and has two U21 caps.
And Grimaldo has the distinction of being the youngest player to ever play in Spain's second division when he turned out for Barcelona B aged 15 years and 349 days.
He was snapped up by Barca aged 13 from the academy at Valencia.
