DANNY INGS has been spotted on crutches in Manchester weeks after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

The Liverpool striker was working his way back from the cruciate KO he picked up in Jurgen Klopp's first training session when he hurt his other leg.

Ings' second devastating injury blow in as many seasons will cast doubts over his future at Anfield - although it is positive that he did not re-injure the same knee.

Ings, 24, only came off the bench for the final 22 minutes of the League Cup win over Tottenham last month when he jolted his leg in a tackle.

Kop medics initially thought the problem would clear up once it had settled down, but he was sent for deeper diagnosis when it got no better.

And now both the Kop hitman and manager Klopp have been left stunned at facing another lengthy battle to return.

Despite not featuring much under the German, Ings has impressed Klopp hugely with his attitude and determination to prove himself.

The Kop boss knew there would be serious interest in trying to tempt him from Anfield on loan in January, after failing to win a regular place.

Yet Klopp is such a big admirer he planned to knock back all inquiries, and has told Anfield sources he remains committed to Ings after his latest blow.
