MARIO BALOTELLI has revealed what he'll do if Nice win Ligue 1 this season - and luckily it doesn't involve fireworks.

The controversial Italian, 26, was a deadline day signing for the French side but has defied his critics with a series of fine performances.

Speaking to during the international break, Balotelli spoke about how he would celebrate if Nice ended up winning the title: “I’m happy here [at Nice].

I’ve settled in very quickly in this fantastic place. There are a lot of youngsters in the team and the coach is very good and I’ve found everything favourable.

"There’s still a long way to go, but if we do win the title, I’m going to fly a helicopter over Nice.”

Since moving to Nice, Balotelli's stats perfectly reflect his playing style - strong, combative and, when he wants to be, lethal.

In nine appearances for the French club, he has seven goals, five yellow cards and one red.

That sending off was in stoppage time - after he'd netted a late winner just five minutes earlier.

Balotelli's off field antics have long overshadowed his playing career.

During his time at Manchester City there was the famous 'why always me' shirt against Manchester United, whilst he also set off fireworks in his rented home causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Super Mario failed to shine at Liverpool and AC Milan before leaving on a free in the summer.

Nice are currently top of Ligue 1, three points clear of both Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.
