Serie A giants are aiming to use relationship with Jose Mourinho to entice quartet to leave Old Trafford for San Siro
INTER MILAN are trying to use their close ties with Jose Mourinho to sign FOUR Manchester United players, according to reports in Italy.
The Special One won the Treble with the Serie A side back in 2009-10, and was linked with a return to the club before opting to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, but has remained on good terms.

And claims new Inter manager Stefano Pioli has told the club’s Chinese owners he wants Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind, Memphis Depay and Chris Smalling.

All four have failed to reach an acceptable level of performance this season in Mourinho's eyes.
Mourinho called out Smalling after his refusal to play through the pain barrier with United short in defence for their trip to Swansea.
However, the former Chelsea gaffer was left red-faced when it emerged the England man had, in fact, suffered a broken toe.
Smalling enjoyed a stellar 2015-16 under Van Gaal, but his levels have dipped alarmingly — and he was red carded in the FA Cup final with the score at 1-1.

Meanwhile, Memphis is very much out of the picture at Old Trafford.
He arrived with a lot of hype following a sensational season in Holland with PSV Eindhoven.
But he lost his place in the team after a dramatic dip in form and the explosion on to the scene of Anthony Martial.
The emergence of Marcus Rashford has seen him fall further down the pecking order and he is now seemingly surplus to requirements.
Darmian was second-choice behind Antonio Valencia at right-back despite the fact the Ecuadorian is naturally a winger.
And he is only enjoying a run in the first team now due to the former Wigan man’s broken arm.
Blind is a solid performer who can plug gaps, but he has failed to convince Mourinho.
Many believed the Dutchman would be one of the first players out the door in the summer, but a lack of options and a lack of trust in his players means he has been an ever present.
But it is likely he is just sticking around until someone better comes along.
