ENGLAND are set to escape a ban or points deduction for Poppygate.
The news follows a report from Fifa match commissioner Dai Griffiths who was at Friday’s World Cup qualifying match at Wembley to mark Armistice Day.
Griffiths included a note that England and Scotland players both wore black armbands bearing a red poppy.

Fifa do not allow political statements on shirts and could take action but the FA hope to just get a fine.
The world governing body may take into consideration that it was a Home Nations international where England and Scotland both agreed to wear the poppy.
A Fifa insider said: “It was there for everyone to see that they wore poppies on the armbands and it is now in the hands of Fifa to see what they will do.
