DIEGO COSTA will be assessed by Chelsea medics today after flying home from Spain duty with a thigh injury.
The Premier League's leading scorer pulled up while in training for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Macedonia and Tuesday's showdown with Blues' team-mate Gary Cahill in a friendly in England.
Costa left the Spain camp last night and is now sweating on his fitness for Chelsea's next match - a trip to Middlesbrough on Sunday week.

Chelsea's nine goal marksman initially picked up the knock during the 5-0 thrashing of Everton last Saturday tea-time but he reported for international duty anyway with boss Antonio Conte's blessing.
A Spanish Football Federation statement read: "Diego Costa is definitely out of the national team for the matches against Macedonia and England.
"The Spanish-Brazilian, who had been training away from the squad, leaves the camp. In his place comes Iago Aspas, who could make his Spain debut."
Costa has featured in all 11 of Chelsea's Premier League matches this season and has shrugged off hamstring problems which dogged him over the last 12 months.
