Alexis Sanchez injured: Gunners told Chile forward could be out for SIX WEEKS but is yet to have scan on muscle injury
The 27-year-old picked up a “low-grade muscle” problem during training while on international duty
ARSENAL have been dealt a huge blow to their Premier League title hopes after being told Alexis Sanchez will be out for six weeks.
The striker is expected to have a scan to find out the full extent of his injury, and is having treatment in Santiago.
It was hoped it was not serious and he would be fit for the Gunners crunch clash against Manchester United next weekend.
But Arsene Wenger’s worst fears are believed to be true with Sanchez crocked until just before the busy Christmas fixture period.

It is thought he will be miss the Champions League match against PSG on 23 November.
He will also be out of the Premier League games Bournemouth, Southampton, West Ham, Stoke and Everton.
Sanchez could also being missing for their massive game against Manchester City a week before Christmas, if his scans are as feared.
A statement by the Chile FA said yesterday: “He will remain in Santiago, under treatment and in evaluation for the meeting against Uruguay.”
The former Barcelona star has been in incredible form so far this season – scoring eight goals.
Arsenal also have fitness concerns over Hector Bellerin after he pulled out of training with Spain's Under-21s.
