Gareth Bale: Real Madrid star named Wales’ player of the year for fourth time in a row
Stoke ace Joe Allen honoured with two awards with Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Chris Coleman also recognised
GARETH BALE has been named Wales’ player of the year for the fourth time in a row.
The Real Madrid star has enjoyed a terrific 2016 for club and country as he lifted the Champions League for the second time in three years.
Bale also led Wales to a historic semi-final at Euro 2016 and continues to lead Real’s La Liga charge in the new campaign.

Stoke ace Joe Allen has also gone home with two awards after picking up players’ and fans’ player of the year.
The midfielder has been in fine form since quitting Liverpool and was also named in Uefa’s team of the Tournament at the Euros.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Exeter prodigy Ethan Ampadu was crowned young player of the year while Natasha Harding won women’s player of the year.
Sophie Ingle was named women’s players’ and fans’ player, with Bronwen Thomas the women’s young player of the year.
The New Saints’ Phil Baker was named Welsh Premier League clubman, with the media choice awarded handed to Reading defender Chris Gunter.
Chris Coleman was also given a ‘special award’ from the Welsh Football Association, with Arsenal playmaker Aaron Ramsey recognised as the country’s best player at Euro 2016.
West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu’s effort against Belgium in the quarter-finals was Welsh goal of the tournament, while Tottenham defender Ben Davies’ goal-saving block against Slovakia was crowned moment of the tournament.
