Manchester United man Phil Jones insists Paul Pogba is ‘world class’ after Swansea stunner

Red Devils defender convinced the best is yet to come from £89m midfield man

PHIL JONES insists that the planet’s most expensive player Paul Pogba is “world class” after finally lining up alongside the star for Manchester United.

The versatile defender has suffered a miserable season with injury and only made his first appearance last Sunday.

Jones was on the pitch to see Pogba fire in a 25-yard volley to kick-start United’s 3-1 Premier League victory at Swansea City.

And after his up-close look at the former Juventus man, who moved to Old Trafford for £89million in August, the England international backed him to get better and better.

Jones said: "I see it in the papers time and time again; Paul Pogba this and Paul Pogba that.

"The guy is an unbelievable player, he's world class."

Speaking to MUTV, Jones added: "He needs time to settle in, the price tag isn't his fault, he's a terrific player and a great lad.

"We'll see more of him this season, I'm sure."

Pogba has now linked up with the France squad ahead of their upcoming matches against Sweden and Ivory Coast.

He will reunite with Jones and his Red Devils team-mates next week to prepare for the clash with Arsenal on Saturday November 19.
