BELIEVE it or not – Radamel Falcao is finally back on top.

The Colombian has sensationally recaptured the form that made him one of Europe’s most fearsome strikers with eight goals in 10 appearances for Monaco this season.

It’s a remarkable turnaround for the 30-year-old, who was written off after failing to make the grade in the Premier League.

Falcao was tipped to become an Old Trafford icon when he was snapped up by Louis van Gaal in 2014.

But the ex-Atletico Madrid and Porto hitman mustered just four goals in 29 appearances – much to the annoyance of expectant fans.

Falcao was then handed a shock lifeline by Jose Mourinho fresh off the back of Chelsea’s title win, but his time in London was even worse as he scored just once in 12 games.

However, the striker finally appears to be in the right frame of mind after netting five goals in his last four Monaco appearances, including braces against CSKA Moscow and Nancy just last week.

Falcao will now proudly lead Colombia in their World Cup qualifier against Chile on Thursday and admits he was always confident of bouncing back, explaining: “Despite the injuries, you don’t forget you technical ability. It’s in your blood.”
