Young defender's week gets better as he's handed five-year deal after being called up to senior France squad

PRESNEL KIMPEMBE has snubbed interest from the Premier League and signed a five-year contract at Paris Saint-Germain instead.

The highly-rated youngster has just been called up to the France squad for the first time after making his mark under Unai Emery.

Kimpembe has been tipped to become his country’s next big star and was attracting interest from some of England's biggest names.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool were all linked with the 21-year-old and were reportedly plotting to launch bids in January.

But Kimpembe has made it clear he has no plans to leave the French capital any time soon after signing on until 2021, with the prodigy admitting he’s already at the club of his dreams.

Kimpembe said: “Extending my contract with the club where I learned my trade brings me a lot of joy. I have been here since I was really little, so this extension means a lot to me.
