Would Toni Kroos be perfect replacement at Manchester United for Michael Carrick?
Yes says Peter Schmeichel: only trouble is Real Madrid's playmaker turned them down once and is unavailable now

A United fan suggested a Carrick-type signing in January could propel United up the table and prompted an admission from the former United goalkeeper about Real Madrid ace Kroos.
The Twitter exchange went like this:
Moyes has revealed he wanted to sign Kroos from Bayern Munich but instead the midfielder left Bayern for Madrid in July 2014
Now, unfortunately, even if Jose Mourinho is thinking along the lines of Kroos, he's unlikely to be joining Manchester United any time soon.
For Roos has just signed a contract extension with Real until 2022.
Goals from Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2) secured a welcome win for United at troubled Swansea on Sunday.
Carrick played well and the result was a big boost for Mourinho as Arsenal are up next after the international break and United needed to keep in touch with the pack chasing Premier League leaders Liverpool.
