THERE was scepticism whether Antonio Conte's beloved three-man backline would work in the Premier League.
But there appears little doubt that the Italian tactician is knocking Blues' defence into shape.
Conte's team have not looked back since the 3-0 defeat to rivals Arsenal in their final league game of September.

The Chelsea boss switched to three at the back for the second half and it worked to an extent - with Blues keeping a clean sheet in the second half.
They have gone on to score 11 goals without reply in Prem victories over Hull, Leicester, Manchester United and Southampton.
Blues did go do 2-1 in the EFL Cup at West Ham.
But Conte threw in several of the club's youngsters as part of an under-strength team.
Their defensive prowess in the league means that they are the only club in Europe's top five divisions to not concede in the league.
