Danny Ings posts an inspiring ‘never quit’ message after season-ending injury lay-off
Liverpool striker takes to social media to thank soccer world for all the good wishes received since breaking down again
UNLUCKY Danny Ings has taken to social media to thank the world of football for all the messages of support after suffering a second long term injury.
The Liverpool striker, 24, had managed only two substitute appearances after fighting back from a ruptured left cruciate 12 months ago.
In only his second game back — last week’s 2-1 EFL Cup win over Spurs — he jolted his right knee in an impact tackle with Kevin Wimmer.

Ings suffered serious cartilage damage in his other knee and it is understood Liverpool will be without him for another seven months, all but ruling him out for the rest of 2016/17.
But Ings looks to be coping with his heartbreak by taking a 'sunny side up' approach and he posted this message on Instagram:

Boss Jurgen Klopp’s wealth of attacking options resulted in Ings getting only 48 minutes of action for the first team this season.
Despite that Klopp had already insisted he would not allow the striker to move on loan in January after Leicester and Stoke expressed an interest.
The German declared himself “gutted” for the former Burnley man but said:
“He is mentally strong, physically strong and will have the best treatment and rehab to make sure when he returns he is ready to play for us at the level we know he is capable of.”
