Arsenal and Tottenham starlets will jet off to South Korea together hours after being rivals in North London derby
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Josh Onomah set to be on bench for Emirates clash before joining up with England Under-20s
ARSENAL starlet Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Tottenham's Josh Onomah will be sat together on a plane to Seoul just hours after appearing on opposite benches in Sunday's North London derby.
The talented pair have been named in the England Under-20 squad heading to South Korea for a warm-up tournament for next summer's Youth World Cup.
The majority of the Under-20s 24-man squad for next week's Continental Cup will take off for East Asia just as the big clash at the Emirates kicks-off.
But the Arsenal and Tottenham pair have been given the all clear to catch a later plane so they can be involved in the derby.
Maitland-Niles made his first Premier League appearance of the season from the bench in the Gunners 4-1 win at Sunderland last Saturday and was on the bench for Tuesday's dramatic 3-2 Champions League win in Ludogorets.
Onomah has been a regular feature in Mauricio Pochettino's matchday plans this season.
He scored his first goal for Spurs in the 5-0 EFL Cup win over Gillingham in September and was an unused sub in the 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Both Maitland-Niles and Onomah are expected to retain their places on the bench for the first NLD of the season, with the Spurs man hoping to get on earlier than the 89th-minute appearance he made in last season's 1-1 draw at the Emirates.
The Young Lions will face opposition from the host nation, Nigeria and Iran, who will all be joining England in the Under-20 World Cup, which takes place in South Korea next May and June.
The schedule starts on Wednesday, November 9 when England face Nigeria at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, before facing the host nation just 24 hours later.
The final match of the tournament takes place on Saturday 12 November against Iran, who were late replacements for Argentina in the competition.
