AITOR KARANKA'S Middlesbrough's side go to City on Saturday aiming to prove they can mix it with the best in the division.

Boro have taken four points from their last two matches to climb out of the relegation zone.

The Riverside outfit earned only their second win of the campaign on Saturday when they chalked up a 2-0 win at home to Bournemouth.

While Pep Guardiola's City, who top the table on goal difference, will be a much tougher test, Karanka can take encouragement after they drew 0-0 at Arsenal the week before.

Boro also know that City will enter the game on the back of tonight's Champions League clash with Spanish giants Barcelona.

Middlesbrough: Cristhian Stuani, Daniel Ayala, James Husband and Marten de Roon are all slight doubts.
