INTER MILAN suffered their fifth defeat in 11 league games to leave Frank de Boer looking for a new job.

They failed to kick on from beating Juventus in September, leading to the Dutchman’s fate being sealed this morning.

Fabio Quagliarella’s first half strike earned Sampdoria all three points at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Inter improved after the break, but failed to find the equaliser.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo Higuain inevitably decided the game of the weekend against his former club.

Juventus ‘welcomed’ Napoli in a meeting of last season’s top two — but the game was all about the £75million-Argentine striker facing his old club.

Leonardo Bonucci pounced on defensive mishap to rifle the home side ahead with a superb strike after a cagey first half.

But Napoli refused to lie down and found an equaliser just four minutes later through Jose Callejon.

But the last word went to Higuain who finished from the edge of the box and, despite having been mercilessly jeered throughout, refused to celebrate.

The result temporarily put the Turin giants five points ahead of Roma, who could only make up a point in their clash at Empoli.
