Chelsea news: Antonio Conte has been importing his favourite LOZENGES from Italy in a bid to keep barking instructions at revived Blues
Italian masterminded Stamford Bridge side's switch to 3-4-3 as they trumped Man Utd and Southampton in recent weeks
ANTONIO CONTE has been shipping his favourite throat lozenges to London in a bid to keep his voice heard on the Chelsea touchline.
The Italian has masterminded the Blues' switch to 3-4-3 in recent weeks, before beating Manchester United 4-0 and Southampton 2-0.
SunSport revealed in July how the Italian was fond of his favourite throat sweets - called Ambrosoli al Miele - during the Blues' pre-season tour of America, with the club based in Los Angeles.
Conte's tactical switch to three at the back has led to a run of clean sheets for his side.
And a very satisfying four-goal thumping of Man Utd helped show Conte's instructions have been heard loud and clear.
He said: “I need these for my throat – I’m shouting too much.
“I like to follow the training session and my voice is very important so I can call at them and talk to them.
“Also during the game it can be difficult for my throat.
“But I think’s it’s important. It’s important to try to explain my reasons of what I want them to do and ideas of football.
“It’s important for me to make them understand when to move at the right time and not the wrong.
“For this reason, the support of my voice is very important to stop and explain in this period when we’re starting a new work together, a new method and new idea how to play football.”
