Questions are now being asked following the amount of decisions that went against United, with Mourinho potentially facing another FA charge as he prepares to respond to his antics before the Liverpool clash.

Clattenburg has a history of run-ins with the Red Devils, with Herrera becoming the sixth United player he’s shown red to in the last five years, and ex-ref Poll claims Clattenburg ‘gives nothing to a side once their fans turn against him.”

But Neville has questioned whether former official Poll should be allowed to point the finger at others when he himself confessed to something quite extraordinary during his career.

Taking to Twitter, Neville said: “Poll once said in a MUFC players briefing at the start of the season he ‘held grudges v players from previous matches’ he’s no better!!”

The Sky Sports pundit confirmed the incident happened while Poll was a ‘serving referee’, making his comments on Clattenburg all the more bizarre.
