Bundesliga leaders cruise to simple victory on the road, having beaten the same opponent in the DFB-Pokal midweek 3-1
BAYERN MUNICH extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table after breezing past Augsburg 3-1 away from home.
The teams kicked off the game with Carlo Ancelotti's Bayern two points clear in first, while Augsburg were languishing in 12th.
First half goals from Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben all but sealed the three points as early as the 21st minute.

Polish forward Lewandowski ended his Bundesliga goal drought - having not netted in the German top flight since September 17 - coolly converting from a Robben assist.
Two minutes later and goalscorer turned provider - and vice versa - as the Dutch winger couldn't miss following a superb assist from Lewandowski to double the lead.
Just moments after the half-time break and 'Robbendowski' struck again, with Lewandowski grabbing his second goal of the game and Robben his second assist.
With Bayern all but playing for the final whistle, Augsburg grabbed a shock goal on 69 minutes through Koo Ja-Cheol - making the scoreline 3-1... The same as their midweek battle in the DFB-Pokal at the Allianz Arena.
There was to be no dramatic comeback however, as Munich closed out the game comfortably to claim all three points.
